Active participation of the Malaysian experts in the ISO annual international meetings has considerably improved the image of Malaysia as a technically competent nation that can provide significant contribution to the development of international standards. We have also actively participated in many technical works/projects taking up responsibility as convenors. Direct involvement in the ISO standard development activities provides the added advantage to have advanced invaluable information on the direction and technical details of the ISO standards. The annual meeting is also a great venue to meet and interact and build strong relationship with many technical experts and renowned engineers/scientists from both advanced and developing nations. Due to many concurrent SC/WG meetings going on the same time, we had to choose the most relevant meetings that are most relevant to Malaysia.
