The Department of Standards Malaysia, the national standards organisation, has appointed Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA) as a Standard Development Agency (SDA) to administer and manage standardisation activities within the scope of the Industrial Standards Committee J (ISC J) relating to Plastics and Plastics Products, with effect from October 2014. This is also to establish the relevance and value of standards in helping Malaysian plastics manufacturers capture local markets and to assist Malaysian plastics manufacturers enhance the quality and productivity of plastics products.

Malaysian Plastics Manufacturing Association (MPMA) is honoured and privileged to take on the role as a Standard Development Agency and to manage ISC J under the National Standards Committee (MyNSC) of the Malaysian Standards and Accreditation Council.

The ISC J undertakes the development and promotion as well as encourages the implementation and to carry out the development of standards for the Malaysian plastics industry of standards.  This Committee also covers Malaysia’s participation in international standards development for the plastics industry.
