Following our meet-up with Capital Markets Malaysia on the Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG), MPMA has confirmed its participation in the SEDG Early Adopter Programme. MPMA will adopt and support the use of SEDG as the reporting guidelines for preparing ESG or Sustainability reports in companies and businesses. MPMA has joined as an early adopter alongside other companies, including large corporations with supply chains, financial institutions, trade associations, consultants, and some non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

In the SEDG Adopter Programme, early adopters will have access to in-person training, tutorials, and workshops nationwide to guide SMEs in disclosing ESG data. Several training sessions will be conducted this year to promote and share information about SEDG in various regions, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, and Sarawak. MPMA hopes that all members will take this opportunity to increase their knowledge and gain a better understanding of ESG reporting, thereby championing sustainability in their businesses.
