MPMA ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH SUNVIEW GROUP BHD

To assist the plastics industry towards a greener, more sustainable future, MPMA is pleased to announce the strategic partnership with Sunview Group Bhd. The collaboration aims to promote the adoption of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems amongst members.

MEETING WITH CAPITAL MARKET MALAYSIA

The MPMA Secretariat, represented by the Sustainability and Training team, kicked off January with a productive meeting alongside two representatives from Capital Market Malaysia, Mr. Al-Fazdriq and Ms. Mishal. The focus of the meeting was to advance ESG adoption in businesses.

During our discussion, we delved into their Adopter Programme for the Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG), which was launched last year. This ESG guide is specifically curated for SMEs in Malaysia, aiming to facilitate and enhance ESG practices within this sector.

MPMA CENTRAL ZONE MEMBERSHIP DIVISION

The MPMA Central Zone Membership Division has kicked off 2024 with a "Meet the Members" initiative which aims to strengthen ties with members in the Klang Valley.

The first visits took place on 18.1.2024, within the Klang Zone. Mr Eddie Shum and the Secretariat visited four companies — JS Poly Industry Sdn Bhd, Advent Packaging Sdn Bhd, PS Poly Pack Sdn Bhd, and Ecoplas Sdn Bhd.

The members were polled on the MPMA Membership Annual Survey 2024 and many had expressed satisfaction with MPMA services.

We sincerely thank the members for taking the time to share their views on MPMA services.

MPMA successfully organised the 1st Central Division Networking Session which covered the Kajang, Semenyih, Bangi, Cheras, Balakong & Seri Kembangan zone on 30.3.2023.

Members as well as potential members within the region had the opportunity to understand about MPMA and to network with one another.

ExxonMobil PE Regional Commercial Meeting on 30 March 2023

Datuk Lim Kok Boon, MPMA President shared his insights on Sustainability in the Flexible Packaging Industry at ExxonMobil PE Regional Commercial Meeting on 30 March 2023. He highlighted the need for frequent information exchange between upstream and downstream players to affect effective advocacy work between the industry, the Government and MPMA members. Mr Arnab Dutta, Asia Pacific PE Sales Manager, ExxonMobil (right) presented a token of appreciation to Datuk Lim at the event with a crowd of close to 100 pax at W Hotel KL.
