WhatsApp Image 2025 07 22 at 10.58.40

MPMA recently met with MOF to raise urgent concerns on behalf of Malaysia’s plastics manufacturers, particularly SMEs, following the expanded scope of SST.

Key issues discussed:
🔹 Request to Exempt Resin Trading Houses
🔹 Reinstate Exemption on Machinery & Moulds
🔹 Exclude Essential Leasing & Rental Services from 8% Service Tax

These issues are critical to maintaining supply chain stability, easing cost pressures for SMEs, and preserving the competitiveness of our industry.
